SHIPPING INFORMATION

REGULAR DOMESTIC SHIPPING
Contemporary Treasure Imports uses US Post Office Express Mail (which, in most cases is next day, or 2nd-day delivery) for regular/standard delivery within the Washington, DC, Metropolitan area. For international shipments we use US Post Office (Global) First Class Mail. Please be advised that international shipments are not free. The shipping fee is determined by your location, and your choice of available delivery options. Once your order has shipped, we will send you an email notification, which will include the tracking number for you to review the status of the delivery of your package. If you require a different means of shipment, please notify us immediately.

All shipping and handling fees are non-refundable with the exception in which Contemporary Treasure Imports has made an error by shipping and incorrect item to the customer. In this case, Contemporary Treasure Imports must be informed of the receipt of incorrect merchandise within a 48 hours of the delivery to receive instructions for how to return the item. Once item is returned back to the warehouse a correct replacement unit will be shipped out or store credit issued for the full amount of the order if the correct unit is unavailable.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS
Contemporary Treasure Imports ships internationally via US POST OFFICE.In the event that there are customs charges assigned to your package, it is your responsibility to pay for any associated import taxes, including VAT and duties. These additional taxes are required by our country’s governmental regulations. Please contact your local customs office for further information. Your package will include a copy of your actual invoice and customs will determine any applicable fees. We will not declare your packages/shipments at a lesser value, but we will take care to separate the shipping charge from the actual cost of the item so that you aren’t overcharged.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING
we offer three methods of priority and/or expedited shipping: FedEx Overnight; UPS Next Day, and US Post Office Priority Mail. Payments must clear by 1 p.m. (EST) to qualify for same day shipping.

UNWANTED RETURNS
Unwanted product returns will be subject to a 20% restocking fee and must have a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#).

REFUSED DELIVERY
Returns falling under this category will be treated as “Unwanted Returns”, and will be subjected to a 20% restocking fee. The customer will also be responsible for the return shipping cost incurred by the action of refusing the delivery. Consequently, a store credit will be issued less 20% restocking fee of the value of the merchandise and less shipping and handling fees both ways.

SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS
Contemporary Treasure Imports is not responsible for lost or damaged packages. It is for this reason that we require shipping insurance for all shipments. If you report damage to the contents of your package within 24 hours of receipt, or if after a reasonable period of time has elapsed and you have not received your package, we will be happy to file a claim with TNT on your behalf. Please note that TNT will have to confirm that your item is damaged. You must have the damaged item, in it’s original packaging and contact us immediately via email. Based the eligibility of of your claim (as determined by TNT), you will receive a refund only after the claim has been approved and paid by TNT. You should also be aware that the original shipping fee, will not be refunded. In all cases, we will make every effort to see that your claim is resolved as quickly as possible.
